The course is dedicated to the
analysis of the main types of events that define the fashion and luxury
industries, with a particular focus on the role of the fashion show in recent
decades. Key moments that have shaped the history of fashion presentation from
the second half of the 19th century to the present day will be examined.
Through case studies, the course will explore events that marked turning points
and the distinctive themes characterizing them as specific formats. The lessons
will provide a broader perspective, contextualizing fashion and luxury events
within the history and theories of exhibition display.
